For those who have been around for a minute, you’ll likely remember multiple stories I covered on Barry County Judge Michael Schipper.

Multiple sources have reached out letting me know that there seems to be a symbiotic relationship between county government and The Hastings Banner, that multiple court interactions did not go the way they were portrayed in the Banner, all in effort to rehabilitate Judge Schipper’s poor image.

It also alleges particular cases aren’t being published, that Banner reporters aren’t filing media permission forms, and that the County Board of Commissioners is attempting to get ahead of stories by inviting the Banner to key meetings.

These reports come on the heels of a concerned citizen and reader preparing a brand new Judicial Tenure Commission complaint, citing years of misconduct against multiple Michigan residents.

Clutch is on the case; more coming soon.
