Following a joint investigation by the Michigan Department of Corrections and the Michigan State Police, Casey Wagner is now in custody in Ionia County.
Clutch Justice is the first to break the story on his arrest, finally made after years of explosive disturbances in Ionia County and the impact on neighbors that others, including State Representative Gina Johnsen (R), 78th District, had ignored.
According to preliminary information, Wagner was taken into custody, and what followed were a series of controlled detonated explosions on his property. Law enforcement officials have not yet released full details regarding the nature of the devices involved, the scope of property damage, or whether additional charges are pending.
For more than three years, Wagner subjected his neighbors, including Lois LaRoe, to repeated explosions that caused significant and lasting harm to her hearing. The activity followed a recurring pattern, with periods of apparent quiet followed by renewed detonations, repeatedly disrupting any sense of safety and re-triggering trauma.
This development comes after prior reporting on accountability concerns connected to Wagner. The investigation remains active, and additional information is expected as authorities continue to assess the circumstances surrounding the explosions.
Clutch Justice will provide updates as more facts are confirmed.
