I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but our democracy is under attack.
Whether from authoritarian crackdowns on dissent, voter suppression, or ongoing efforts to strip away civil rights and personal freedoms. These aren’t abstract threats. They’re happening right here, right now in Michigan.
That’s why the ACLU of Michigan is launching the Power & Purpose Training, a special program designed to turn outrage into action. This isn’t another webinar you half-listen to while multitasking.
It’s in-person, hands-on, grassroots leadership training for everyday people ready to step into this defining moment.
What You’ll Learn
Participants will walk away with real, practical skills, not just slogans:
- Organizing in your community with proven tools.
- Persuasive conversations that actually move people to act.
- Building networks with others who are fired up and ready to fight for our shared future.
And because movements don’t grow in isolation, every participant is asked to bring someone with them. Change doesn’t happen alone; it happens in relationships, in community, and in solidarity.

Designed to equip everyday leaders with the tools to organize in their communities, hold persuasive conversations, and build networks of power to defend democracy. Spots are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

The Power & Purpose Training is an antidote to despair. It’s a chance to channel frustration into something bigger than any one of us; a a mass movement built from the ground up.
