Today, President Jimmy Carter passed away at the age of 100.
Over the summer, my Dad and I had a conversation about President Carter.
What was the secret to his long-life? My Dad had settled on the fact that President Carter never stopped working, never stopped serving others.
A lot of things happen in 100 years.
Minds change, people change.
But one thing President Carter always was and always will be, is right on ending the war on drugs. President Carter was a fierce advocate for criminal justice reform and human rights.
He was simply not appreciated because he was too forward thinking for the time. Perhaps he still is.
May we all be so brave to believe in the good in others.
Rest In Peace, President Carter.
