Why We’re Expanding Into True Crime. And Doing It Differently.
Clutch Justice was built to dig into the systems that fail everyday people; courts that bend for the powerful, institutions that hide harm, and the stories often overlooked once the headlines fade. Over time, I’ve heard a growing call from readers: tell the true crime stories that matter, but do it with care.
We’re answering that call.
Starting now, Clutch Justice will take on a deeper true crime focus, but with a humanist approach. We’ll cover the cases and systemic failures that shape lives, but our goal isn’t to shock or sensationalize. It’s to investigate, contextualize, and hold power accountable while centering the people impacted.
True Crime, Done Responsibly
- Examining All Sides of The Story: Stories aren’t just about the crime; they’re about lives changed forever on all fronts.
- Context Over Clickbait: I’ll show the policies, history, and systemic gaps behind each case.
- Justice-Oriented Outcomes: Highlighting reform, advocacy, and solutions beyond the headline.
You’ll still find the hard-hitting investigative pieces Clutch Justice is known for; environmental disasters, judicial misconduct, FOIA-driven exposés. But you’ll also see cases framed with empathy, deep research, and accountability.
Why It Matters
Since I was 16 and read my very first Ann Rule novel, true crime has had a special place in my heart. Not the salacious Nancy Grace garbage, but legitimate reporting that seeks to understand all facets around an event. The lesson I learned from Ann, was that true crime doesn’t have to exploit pain. It can inform, empower, and push for change.
I believe clutch’s readers deserve both truth and humanity.
Thank you for trusting clutch to tell these stories and for supporting independent reporting that fights for justice.
