As part of a forthcoming story on Judges and YouTubers being invited into Zoom Hearing rooms, I’ve stumbled into some concerning videos making their way around the internet, raising the question of propriety and the continued erosion of judicial integrity in Michigan.

One such video involves Judge Corey Wiggins, 84th District Court, covering Wexford and Missaukee counties.

A former prosecutor, Wiggins was appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer on January 21, 2025, according to a state-issued press release.

In the video, Wiggins threatens to hold Attorney George Serkin in contempt. He later apologized, but it remains concerning.

Judge Wiggins did not return comment, but being on the bench for just 6 months, it raises concerns about his temperament and if any other incidents have occurred thus far.
