After failing to destructively redact what they deemed “medically sensitive” information, the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission removed their Formal Complaint against Judge Kirsten Nielsen Hartig, FC No. 109.

On the taxpayer’s dime, JTC sent Hartig to All Points North, a posh medical facility in Colorado, for evaluation. The facility deemed her “unsafe to practice” in June 2024.

Judge Hartig kept the report from the JTC for six months.

Clutch Justice was first to discover this, after finding you could highlight the redaction, copy it, and paste it.

Most law firms and law enforcement agencies are required to use destructive redaction, making it impossible to revert the document’s redacted content; a step the Judicial Tenure Commission failed to take.

Luckily, you can still find the failed redaction report here at Clutch.
