For years, the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission (JTC) has operated under a shroud of mystery. Thousands of complaints are filed. Few are investigated. Even fewer lead to public action. And once a complaint is submitted, it often disappears into the void, leaving the public with no answers and no timeline.

That ends now.

Clutch Justice is launching a first-of-its-kind real-time experiment: we’re following the lifecycle of a judicial misconduct complaint from start to finish.

May 30, 2025: The Journey Begins

From the moment the envelope was sealed on May 30, 2025, we’ve been tracking every step.

And we’ll continue; from postal delivery, confirmation of receipt, any outreach from the Commission, signs of an investigation, updates to the judge’s status, and the ultimate result (or lack thereof).

Time Elapsed: 6 Days

This isn’t just theoretical.

One courageous individual has agreed to let me follow their complaint as a case study. They’ve chosen transparency, knowing how rare it is for the public to gain insight into how (or whether) the JTC responds to allegations of judicial misconduct.

I’ll be publishing regular updates. Think of it as a live audit of government accountability.

If you’ve ever wondered:

What happens after a complaint is filed? How long does the JTC take to respond—if at all? Are citizens taken seriously, or stonewalled?

You’re about to find out.

Join me. Watch the process. Track the data.

Because justice shouldn’t be hidden behind a locked door.
