The Judicial Tenure Commission states Charles LeSata had been "problematic" for several years before their investigation opened in September 2020. Rude to people in his court room, would not let attorneys speak. Repeatedly ignored the law in multiple cases. Campaigned for his wife when he should not have. He made threats for fines and sanctions against lawyers and public defenders.

The Judicial Tenure Commission "publicly admonished" him in their 2023 Annual Report; it achieved nothing.

For years of bad behavior, he got a slap on the wrist.
